Removal of up to 1,000 gallons of septic waste by our wastewater team, using our own tanker.

Up to 30 metres between where the tanker parks and the tank. Longer runs are often possible: tell us when you book so we bring the right equipment.

A look at the tank while we are there. If something seems wrong, such as a blocked outlet or a tank that is refilling too fast, we tell you.

Bigger tanks, longer hose runs or difficult access are priced before we book, so there are no surprises on the day.

How often should a septic tank be emptied?

Many household septic tanks need emptying around once a year, but it depends on the tank size and how many people use it.

Leaving it too long lets solids pass into the drainage field, which can block it and is expensive to put right.

If you are not sure when it was last emptied, we can advise on a sensible interval after the first visit.

When emptying is not the whole answer

If a tank keeps filling quickly, there is usually a reason.

Common causes are a blocked outlet, groundwater getting in, a failing drainage field or a broken pump. Because AFS also repairs drains, pumps and treatment plants, we can find the cause instead of just emptying more often.
