Our Story
AFS was formed following the evolution of Alton Pumps in December 2023, when it became clear that the business had grown far beyond being just a pump company. In reality, AFS had become a specialist facilities service provider, supporting complex water, drainage and pumping systems across a wide range of environments.
Since 2007, the management team behind AFS has worked extensively on SCC-managed sites throughout the county, including GRT sites, schools, offices, care homes, fire stations, public buildings and other critical infrastructure. This hands-on experience across regulated and high-responsibility environments allows our engineers to diagnose issues quickly, work efficiently during callouts, and minimise disruption on site.
All our drainage services are fully self-delivered by our team of 18 directly employed engineers and support staff. This gives us complete control over quality, safety and service standards, ensuring consistency across every project we undertake.
With our main office based in Liphook on the Surrey border, and a large proportion of our workforce living locally, we can typically reach most locations within the county in under an hour. This local infrastructure allows us to respond quickly to emergencies, reduce downtime and deliver genuine social value through local employment. We are also proud to hold Gold Constructionline accreditation, reflecting our commitment to compliance, health and safety and recognised industry best practice.
